- Vitals (i.e. blood pressure, pulse) and brief description of problem as given to Chiropractic Assistant
- Doctor's interview of patient: chief complaint history, past health history, review of systems, family health history, social/personal history
- Examination of patient: posture, range of motion, chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological exams
- Imaging of patient (if deemed necessary): In house x-ray, use of Vermont Radiologists for CT, bone scan, SPEC scans, etc. and Fletcher Allen for MRI
- Treatment usually not rendered on initial visit unless patient is very acute. If so physiotherapy may be performed, manipulation may take place under certain circumstances
- Time frame for initial visit - 45 minutes to 1 hour

Review of x-rays or advanced imaging, discuss if chiropractic care is appropriate for their problem
